Beautiful Prague......

Gorgeous day. Hope you enjoy the pics! Even though we are sick, we still had another awesome day in Praha.

This was the Old Town Square - The oldest and most important square in historic Prague, dating from before the 12th century, it was originally a market place where merchants from all over Europe gathered. The square has witnessed many events of historical importance including the execution of 27 Bohemian squires in 1621 and the installation of the new city council in 1784 after the five districts of Prague were united. It was also the epicenter of the Prague Uprising in May 1945. The Hus Monument (1915) stands in the square..

Charles Bridge - Crosses the Vltava River built in 1357. During the night Charles Bridge is a quiet place. But during the day it changes its face into a very busy place, with painters, owners of kiosks and other traders alongside numerous tourists crossing the bridge.

Sick in Prague

Well, we just spent our first day in Prague and it is absolutely beautiful. The buildings are unbelievable even though there are massive amounts of graffiti. We spent the day wandering around Old Town Square, Wenceslas Square, Tyn Cathedral, and Charles Bridge. All the while 3/4 of us are sick and taking weird Prague medicine that Cormac picked out. No wonder he hallucinated and thought he was going to run into a non existant pole!

Pics to come soon...

Lost In Translation

.. what happens when four travellers go to a foreign city without a map and without a clue? yeah, that's right it's called utter confusion. Luckily for these travellers there were some Aussie chicks going to the same hostel, and they had directions (sort of). After much confusion and aimless wandering, finally found Sir Toby's. After settling in, went out for some drinks and a little Czech bowling. Rob and Corm drank some horrible-tasting 80% Czech concoction.. Holy $#:+!!! Went to an asthma inducing super smoky bar to drink some more. Met some great locals; Rob and Corm went on to party till the dawn while Char and G went back to the hostel to get some sleep.

Waiting for our train to Prague.

We had a few minutes to kill at the internet lounge as we wait for the next train to Prague. We tried to get a quick city tour for Munich but didn't have enough time, it was not meant to be. Maybe we'll have some time at the end of the trip.

Recovery Day....

Well as you can imagine, partying hard the night before made today a day of recovery so the pace was slow. We did very little touring but we did see a cool church called Frauenkirche (Church of our Lady) and walked around the old town. a bit Later after a long lunch it was back to Oktoberfest for some carnival fun. This time drinking was minimal so we can recharge and be ready for Prague. We leave in the morning and I can't wait!

An incedible first day!

Our first full day in Munich was amazing.. First we decided to go to a concentration camp in Dachau (this was Corm's idea) and it was quite an experience to learn what had happened there and how many had died. Always good to learn some history.

Then we didn't waste any more time and and headed to Oktoberfest! We met up with Susanne, a friend of Gerhard's from Stuttgart (about a 3 hr drive from Munich). Oktoberfest was CRAZY!!! Check out the view from this scary ride Char and I took. The other's were to chicken to try it.
Party time in the tent with Bavarian music and liters and liters of Bier! Our Italian friends were enjoying themselves.Gman found a BIG pretzel ('breze').... We ended the night at a nightclub where we danced the night away...
